GRESB: 5-by-5

We are absolutely thrilled that for the fifth year running, FORE Partnership has received the top, 5-star rating in the GRESB Real Estate Assessment in the 2022 results, released today.  GRESB is the global standard for ESG benchmarking and reporting for listed property companies, private property funds, developers, and investors that invest in real estate.

In the 2022 survey, we maintained the maximum rating that we have achieved each year since 2017 – which we understand makes us the only fund to receive 5-stars for five years on the run. We also obtained our highest Development Benchmark score yet of 99/100.

FORE was also awarded Global Sector Leader status in the Office category, a recognition that we have a top ranking amongst all our peers, setting the pace and driving progress toward a net zero future through developments like TBC.London and Cadworks, Glasgow.

We are especially honoured to have achieved the top Management Score within Europe, ranking us first out of 901 funds, both in the Development and Standing Investments rankings – recognition of how well ESG is integrated into our approach.

We are always striving to set new benchmarks for sustainability and social impact across our commercial property portfolio. By deploying a uniquely holistic approach that links sustainability, health and wellbeing, design, and technology, we’re able to generate enduring profitability and improve lives and communities in a meaningful way.

We are proud of our ratings given FORE’s modest size compared to our peer group of entrants, which include larger firms like AXA IM, Nuveen, and Hermes.  This reinforces our view that any investor or landlord can integrate sustainability into their portfolio, no matter what size they are or resources they have.  And that true innovation and transformation within the property industry may well come from challenger firms rather than incumbents.

Overall, GRESB’s 2022 survey covered 1,820 funds and companies, generating a benchmark that covers $6.9 trillion of gross asset value (GAV) across 74 countries.

FORE has made an industry leading commitment to become zero carbon by 2025 and is among only a handful of real estate companies to certify as a B Corporation, which binds us to purpose alongside profit.
