We purchased this vacant, 5 acre site in Bristol to bring it back to life as a senior living community. With a total of 27 existing buildings including five Victorian villas, and Grade II listed Grace House, we will create 120 homes for seniors in an “integrated retirement community” model.

In partnership with operator Amicala, the scheme is designed to allow residents to age in place and to be supported as their needs change, whilst also providing a welcoming and vibrant community adhering to the core principles of well-being and independence.

We will deliver an ultra-sustainable community targeting the highest ratings of BREEAM “Outstanding”, WELL “Platinum”, and EPC A. St Christopher’s Square will be one of first Net-Zero carbon later living properties in UK, all electric in operation with no fossil fuels used.

In addition to its low-carbon credentials, a deep social impact strategy is central from the outset. While in the planning phase, the site is being used to host community events, run a Covid vaccination centre, and as overspill space for local schools. Once built, it will help our residents continue a purpose-led life, integrating with local social enterprises, charities, and community groups.

St Christopher’s Square will be one of the most innovative senior living developments in the UK.
