FORE Scores 5-Stars in GRESB Benchmark…again

The results are in.  For the sixth consecutive year, FORE has received the maximum 5-star rating in the GRESB Real Estate Assessment, the leading ESG benchmark for real estate and infrastructure investments across the world.

This year, GRESB benchmarked us against more than 2,000 listed and non-listed portfolios covering $7.2 trillion of gross asset value across 75 countries.  Our overall GRESB score of 91/100 is up once again year-on-year, and is significantly higher than the average of 75/100 amongst other Real Estate Assessment participants.

The 2023 results, released by GRESB this week, place us second in a highly competitive peer group that constitutes the likes of BlackRock, Legal and General Property, and Federated Hermes. We are particularly proud of our high ranking given that we are a challenger firm of a relatively modest size.

We are especially proud to have been named as a “sector leader” in 4 categories.  Sector Leaders are selected by GRESB as the best performers by sector and region from across all of the more than 2,000 GRESB assessments:

  • Global Sector Leader
    Office

  • Global Non-Listed Sector Leader
    Office

  • Regional Sector Leader
    Europe, Office

  • Regional Non-Listed Sector Leader
    Europe, Office

We received a near perfect score (99.1/100) in the Development component of the assessment, gratifying recognition of our efforts to address ESG issues during the design, construction, and retrofit of our buildings.

In spite of recent macro economic headwinds, we remain steadfastly committed to creating low carbon, beautifully designed, technologically advanced, and socially impactful real estate.  We believe in our cities, and the power these urban systems have to drive prosperity and wellbeing for all.  Now more than ever, this is essential.  And with the brown-vs-green valuation arbitrage as great as we have ever seen it, we are sourcing tremendous new opportunities to acquire assets at steep discounts, and reposition them to green.

This latest accolade from GRESB will spur us on as we strive to achieve tangible and enduring positive outcomes through our forward-facing, transformational approach to investing in real estate.
