FORE joins the Race to Zero

FORE Partnership has joined the Race to Zero, a UN-backed global campaign to rally leadership from businesses, cities, regions and investors for a healthy, zero carbon recovery that prevents future threats, creates decent jobs, and unlocks inclusive, sustainable growth.

The science is clear: we must get our world to a state of net zero emissions as soon as possible, and by 2050 at the absolute latest, in order to limit the worst effects of climate change.

On World Environment Day 2020, we announced FORE’s commitment to ensure our business and buildings are net zero carbon by 2025, putting us among a select few property businesses to have announced such an early target.

We are also a Certified B Corporation, meaning our business meets the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and legal accountability.

So you could say that FORE is well over the starting line. Why join the Race to Zero now?

We are joining the Race to Zero to build momentum around the shift to a decarbonised economy ahead of COP26, where governments must strengthen their contributions to the Paris Agreement. This sends governments a resounding signal that we, among other businesses, are united in meeting the Paris goals and creating a more resilient economy.

The race to zero emissions won’t have one winner. In this race we all win, or we all lose. Winning it will mean a radical, unprecedented level of collaboration, from all corners of our world. Together we are racing for a better world, a zero carbon world.
